A Little Health, A Little Wealth

Selig Greeting PostcardBack of Selig PostcardBoy, this card is Victorian all-over. The undivided-back card, published by Adolph Selige and mailed in 1909, includes a poem of sorts: “A little health, a little wealth, a little house and freedom, with some few friends for certain ends, but little cause to need ’em.” I don’t even know what to say to that. The writers quip regarding the verse is funny….”Do you believe this poetry”? My favorite part is the back, but that great border around the poem is impressive as well.
