First opened in 1898, the Bob-Lo Island Park was located on Bois Blanc Island, Ontario, Canada. The park closed in 1993.
One of Canada’s finest, an officer of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, or “Mounties”. The white border postcard was published by the Photogelatine Engraving Co.
Published by the Photogelatine Engraving Co. of Toronto, this white border card shows the Hotel London in London, Ontario. The card is unmailed, but does have this handwritten comment on the reverse:
“August 14, 1947
Dinner. – No vacancies –
recommended. Mrs. Armstrong.”
Looking rather like one of the old auto courts, this is the Harbor View Tourist Resort in Summerside, Prince Edward Island. The chrome postcard is unmailed, but probably hails from around 1960.
